Three words describe The Autry Museum
of Western Heritage POPULAR, UNUSUAL, and FUN! The Autry
Museum is a world-class center located in Los Angeles'
historic Griffith Park adjacent to the L.A Zoo. The
center is devoted to preserving and interpreting the
rich history and traditions of the American West from
its prehistoric roots to its Gold Rush days and notions
created by Hollywood. The center houses one of the most
comprehensive collections of Western history and art
including authentic chaps, spurs, guns, and saddles
used by real cowboys and vaqueros.
The Autry Museum also has various changing
exhibitions throughout the year. Hours: Tues.-Sun.,
10 am - 5pm, with extended hours on Thurs. to 8 pm.

Designed by famed architect Philip Johnson,
the Crystal Cathedral has been hailed as "the most
spectacular religious edifice in the world." The
cathedral resembles a four-pointed star, with 10,000
panes of glass covering the weblike, translucent walls
and ceiling. It is home to the annual "Glory of
Christmas" and "Glory of Easter" pageants.
The cast includes live animals, flying angels and incredible
special effects, all performed inside a 2,890-seat cathedral.

At Discovery Science Center-the amusement
park for your mind-people of all ages can explore approximately
100 hands-on exhibits, watch a three-dimensional show
in the 3-D Laser Theater and participate in a live science
show. Within the center, guests can discover eight different
themed areas called Perception, Dynamic Earth, Quake
Zone, Exploration Station, Principles of Flight, Performance,
Space Exploration, and KidStation (the area for five-year-olds
and younger). Visitors can experience an earthquake
in the "Shake Shack," lie on a bed of 3,500
nails, walk through a tornado, build a Martian rover

Medieval Times recreates an 11th century

A visit to the 2,000 acre San Diego
Wild Animal Park is like a journey through Africa and

Experience Pirates Dinner Adventure! An authentically replicated 18th-century Spanish galleon measuring 46 feet long, 18 feet wide with 40-foot masts is anchored in a 250,000-gallon indoor lagoon with night sky lighting. Surrounding the lagoon is a six-sided showroom of six additional “ships” where the audience is seated.
